We recently had the absolute pleasure of working with Kipwak Studio on multiple occasions leading up to the release of their cozy wizarding school life-sim game “Wizdom Academy“, providing both game design feedback services and PR – and we couldn’t be prouder to see the tremendous progress they have made since.

When Liam, Founder of Kipwak Studio, first reached out to us, he had just started his own video game company. He mentioned that his budget was very limited, but he wanted an expert game designer to review their game prototype in order to provide feedback on its core gameplay loop, game balance, game mechanics, and so on.

While their initial budget was lower than we would normally work with, we really liked Liam and believed in his game, so we decided to take on their project regardless. This was our way of giving back to the people who supported us when we were first starting out with our company Pixelrain Studios, before we worked with nearly 100 clients. I completed the work to a 5-star review from Liam, and his indie game development team.

Fast forward one year later, and we got another message from his team – This time from a new team member, LΓ©ticia. She wanted to know if we would do a press release for them to help them market the launch of their upcoming game and demo release – but for our proposed rate this time. Naturally, we said yes, and delivered within a few days. After a few revisions, we reached another successful order with a 5-star review once again

Today, Kipwak Studio is doing fantastic. Their game Wizdom Academy has since reached nearly 10.000 wishlists on Steam – That’s a lot of wishlists for your first game! They have also been selected to represent their home country of Switzerland through the SwissGames program.

While we at Pixelrain Studios can only take credit for a small part of their success, we’re grateful to have been a part of their journey, and we can’t wait to play the full game when it releases in 2025.

Thanks to Guillaume MEZINO (Liam) for trusting us to do what we do best, deliver kick-ass game design audits and feedback, as well as top-notch game marketing & PR. To anyone reading this, please support their hard work by wishlisting Wizdom Academy on Steam. Make sure to check out their free demo too!
